Emmylou MW is an artist residing in Scarborough, Ontario. She began drawing in 2001 when a friend took her to her first real art store. Emmy fell in love with sketching, but due to circumstances, art took a back seat. In 2015, she decided to begin her artistic journey again. That same year, she began oil painting. Mainly through self-studying, Emmylou constantly strives to improve her artwork.
Her favourite artists include Vincent Van Gogh, Édouard Manet, John Singer Sargeant, Eugène Carrière and Vilhelm Hammershøi. Contemporary artists she admires include Loish, Juliette Aristides, Jane Davenport, Yuko Shimizu, Jeremy Mann, Daniel Sprick and Aaron Blaise.
